My favourite XI: Rhulani Mokoena

This is a list of players that Rhulani Mokoena has coached either at; SSS Black Poison FC (Soweto), or at Platinum Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns academy, who are currently playing in the PSL or abroad.

Sipho Moeti
Mpho Makola
Godfrey Maako
Nyiko Tshabalala
Sifiso Mnyeni
William Twala
Kheto Masuku
Darren Laurie

All of them have in a certain moment in their careers, given so much and it was just very difficult to conclude a starting 11. They have always served with honesty and remain a special part of my coaching history.

Tumelo “Maleven” Mogale

The best passer of the ball i have worked with. A player with a great contribution in all phases of the game. Extremely humble with fearless leadership qualities. A a winner both on and off the pitch. A rare breed who I unfortunately feel was exposed to professional football very late.

Mpho “Happy Feet” Makola

Was always a player with great technical abilities and a great relationship with space. Works extremely hard and knows how to create and utilize space. One of the few players in the PSL with great instinctive abilities of playing in between lines and also enjoys playing beyond the pass. Has great vision and creates a lot of scoring situations. He also possess great delivery from set plays.

Percy Tau

Percy has always enjoyed occupying the grey zone and isolating defenders for 1-v-1 situations. Possess great technical fluidity and physical qualities that allows him to accelerate past defenders to create scoring possibilities. Has a strong character and is driven by his intrinsic desire for success. Has always been a great leader and I strongly believe that he is yet to fulfill his potential.
